The Outcome is:

Trent Hunter, Greg Wilson, Tristan Waddell, Graeme Wright, Tommy Wainwright

“Great band if you like it heavy as f@#k with more hooks than a tackle box…” Tony ‘Jack the Bear’ Mantz

“Arguably Coffs Harbour’s LOUDEST and TIGHTEST rock band…” Scratch & Bite Studios

The Coffs Coasts’ premier heavy rock band is back with a self-titled EP that will rattle your back teeth!

The boys are fresh from an EPIC EP Launch at the Hoey Moey in early March which drew over 300 punters out of the woodwork… UNHEARD OF numbers for a local band!

This band of hard rock and metal raised pop culture misfits make no apologies for what they do. There’s no pussy-footing around genres. There’s no trendy, stylised pomp. There is riffage. There’s volume. There’s howling vocals. There’s ugly tones and a testicle vibrating low end. There’s galloping kick drums and ear drum piercing snare. There’s epic hooks and climaxes guaranteed to leave you banging for more. There’s no compromise. This isThe Outcome.

Since forming in 2006, their impressive list of live supports has swelled to include acts like Wolfmother and US metal legends Helmet, The Butterfly Effect, Dead Letter Circus, Sydonia, MM9, Mammal and Helm. Renowned for tight, energetic live shows, The Outcome command the stage AND your attention.

These disfigured, inked, creepy uncles twice removed of the local Coffs Harbour music scene have made one hell of a statement with this EP. With a slew of musical influences filtering through their song writing, and decades of experience, The Outcome EP is a culmination of years of blood, sweat, tears and fortuitous planetary alignments. Under the watchful eye and ear of producer Sam ‘The Man’ Hannan, the boys shacked up at Hamish Gordon’s Arcadia Sound & Vision in the hills surrounding sleepy Mullumbimby, New South Wales to record three tunes in November 2012. They left with FIVE!

Brooding opener ‘The Heist’ is a live staple and worthy first single. “It’s about when you think you have a relationship, but you haven’t” says vocalist Trent Hunter. Wise words indeed. All we know is that it’s a cracking start to an EP and builds vertically to a head pounding climactic riff! Wow! ‘Not Human’ is a FERAL rock tune. The slinky, unassuming opening riff and bouncy verse are quickly swallowed up by brutal choruses and staccato outro. The drumming here is top shelf.

Breaking Ground’ is an apocalyptic ditty, raising questions about the state of Mother Earth and her minions. Catchy as hell and well and truly single worthy. ‘This World’ begins with a simple bass line and quickly descends into the usual madness. Again the build is grand and the guitar interplay of Wilson and Wright is ear-gasmic! That leaves ‘Nameless’ to close the EP. It’s like two songs for the price of one with another unassuming, melodic genesis. After the second chorus, the bass guitar takes over and delivers a percussive decent into hell. There’s so many climaxes on this EP, you’ll need a freakin’ nap.
